Resource Function: This software service extracts isocontours (i.e. line contours) and isosurfaces (i.e. polygonal surfaces) from resp. two and three dimensional images. The service is used as a preprocessing service by other services, including visualization and data analyses.
Example Application:
Isosurface extraction from in-silico tumour simulation results to identify and visualize cell layers.
Extraction of regions of interest for morphological analyses.
Expected release date: A prototype version was released and demonstrated April 2007. The service is continuously undergoing changes.
