Why should you join the ACGT Community?
ACGT is a major multimillion project co-funded by the EU as well as over 25 prominent industrial and academic organizations in Europe and Japan in the area of e-Health.
It addresses an increasingly important area in the field where clinical trials, electronic health records, bio-research and IT converge with the aim of offering higher quality personalized health services in the area of cancer research.
Cancer has been selected as the pilot application area for ACGT for the initial 4 year phase of the project. In the future as the infrastructure expands and subject matter expertise in other areas is made available, additional areas of research will be covered not only by the generic ACGT resources but also by domain specific services as well.
Joining the ACGT community by either using or contributing to the project resources offers four distinct advantages to commercial organizations:
- Membership and exposure to a group of stakeholders including patient advocacy groups, hospitals, bio-research labs as well as other commercial organizations that could benefit from the services you may wish to make available via ACGT
- Access to news, technologies and product developments in the above space
- Possibilities for collaborations with other ACGT members - select from the ACGT community members to create your own project-specific task group
- Possibility to shape future standards in the area
