Legal and ethical

This section includes a collection of documents covering developing legal/ethical issues in connection with life science and clinical trials research.

Introduction

The protection of the patients' privacy is of crucial importance for the success of scientific genetic research projects, as only if this protection can be guaranteed patients will take part in the project. Therefore ACGT makes every endeavor to guarantee the privacy of the participating patients. Being in line with all relevant legal and ethical guidelines is seen as one of the major assets of ACGT.

The new and innovative data protection framework developed in ACGT which guarantees this privacy can also be adapted to other projects and is therefore a major result of ACGT. You will find a detailed description of the ACGT Data Protection Framework in the following documents.
