Using ACGT resources for your own purposes
The ACGT infrastructure is an open grid based infrastructure through which an expanding set of resources (software services, data etc.) can be searched, accessed and combined into workflows in order to perform less or more complex tasks that are relevant to medical practitioners and bio-researchers in their daily activities.
These resources are created by a number of organizations that are affiliated with ACGT, may reside in different locations (servers) and are normally available to all ACGT registered users.
To use one of the available ACGT resources you must first be registered with ACGT. Any organization can register. To find out how, click here.
Once you have registered, you will need to follow the steps described in the Checklist below.
Briefly, using an ACGT resource involves the following:
- Searching the ACGT Directory to find what resources are currently available.
- Reviewing the description of the resource to understand what it does, what results it returns and in what format.
- Reviewing its security and access rights to ensure you can use the resource.
The following section provides a detailed list of actions and relevant information for using ACGT Ready resources.
