Joining a Breast Cancer Clinical Trial

Many trials have been conducted in breast cancer over the past 50 years which have been supported by thousands of women world-wide. As a result of all this work and support the outlook for women with breast cancer has improved a lot in recent years.

However, there are still some unanswered questions about the best way to treat breast cancer. Clinical Trials in breast cancer are designed to answer some of these questions. If you are interested in participating in a clinical trial, you should first talk to your physician who can help determine which trials should be best for you. You may also contact one of the major cancer hospitals or university medical centers in your region, which can provide information about the studies in which they are currently participating, or can recommend a health care professional in the area.

Finally you can find information on active studies in breast cancer by visiting the website of the Breast International Group, which coordinates large clinical trials in breast cancer around the world. Click on the link below to get the BIG site.
